Hey everyone. I found this during a bottle dig on the banks of a creek. My buddy and I have pulled many neat bottles from this spot on multiple digs. It seems from some research that the bottle range from the 1920's to the 1950's so I am guessing this item is from that era. It seemed like trash was dumped over the creek banks from things dug up. Bones, cans, old ceramic plate pieces, tools, and what not. I metal detect a lot, and thought it would be crazy if I ever got any jewelry out of this spot, with no detector, just digging and searching. Well, one day while watching the loose dirt I dug out, slide down the hill side of the area we were digging, this item caught my eye. It was a lot darker, almost black when I found it. I did the old lemon juice, baking soda trick, along with a tooth brush, and I see that it has to be silver after the cleaning. There are no marks I can find though, the weight feels right. My guess is it is an earing, but from what time frame? Maybe a pendant, from looking at the two eyelets on the top? Looks likes it was wired together neatly. Does any on have any information about this?
