Those rivers were an instant meal all the time. Hard to tell what some things are and we guess a lot. I like the big reduction flakes on it. You had your detector out any?
I have a couple from about say 50 miles from you. Wanna see em?

Those are nice. I have never found a flaked Celt before. And the Celts sometimes look a lot like Hoes. I cant see why they couldnt use them for both purposes if they were big enough.

Ok here it comes jamey. Hold on to your hat lol. These are for sale on the forum here in treasure related. You can get a closer look by clicking on the pic. Both pics are the same but just different views. Hope you see something close to what you have found. Most of these are made from Green Stone and Slate, all are from East Tn River Valley.

The fort payne one is almost like a large scraper the way they did the bits. I am thinking they made what they needed at the time and did not always conform to a certain style.

It would of been a good day to go till I found out it was S Bowl weekend. Id much rather find artifacts than watch the games. But unless a miracle happens I will probably have to work. I will know tomorrow when I get to work for sure. I will let you know tomorrow afternoon. Cant ask for it off for a holiday weekend they get mad.
