Preserving a Rusting Enamel Pot

I was wondering if there was anything I should or could do to keep this pot from further rusting. Keep it out of moisture, I know but should I coat it with anything? While there may not be a high monetary value attached to this piece there may be some historic value. Thanks for the suggestions.
