This morning I met up with JF to hunt a park in SW Baltimore. Eventually we made it to a school close by and did better there, with JF recovering an 1898 IHC. We parted ways around 1PM and I headed into town and ended up at my old nemesis, Druid Hill Park. Yes, I returned. First old target was this thimble that reads "For A Good Girl", around the top rim. I kept in the same general area and amongst competing targets located a high-tone that turned out to be a well-preserved seated dime, dated 1857. Still some surprises left at Druid.

Great to see a site still producing - especially Liberty Seated coins! Great find.

Outstanding find. We never see those here.
The condition is very nice.

Nice!! That’s a lister for me

Very....Very....Nice

That is one heck of a sweet surprise- Congrats on an awesome Seated!

Thanks Jeff. To quote Metallica " A vow unto his own, that never from this day, his will they'll take away", the message is "Don't lose the will to hunt those hard areas, no matter who's hunted it or how many times you've tried and maybe come up empty".

Thanks Dave! Other than the surface pitting, the coin looks good.

Thanks Bob! I've been hunting this park for about 5 years and I got into it very late, as far as detecting goes. The earliest detectorist began in the late 60s; I can't imagine what they found. Anyway, this is the 4th seated this park has given me.

Thanks Imfishboy! Rolled in to where I've parked the truck many a time in the past; so crazy to come away with old silver this time.

Thanks mddavis3! Next to pennies, I think the dime is the next most often dropped coin.

Thanks Randy! I see you've come across at least one of these beauties in the past.

Thanks duogolf2! I do not golf; wouldn't have enough time to detect.

Thanks Silver Tree Chaser! Nice hammered silver there!
