Potential new place

I work in the construction industry here in Florida and may have the opportunity to hunt a new site; its currently under construction will be a new high school, the sight use to be an old neighborhood. we have been doing work over there and people have been finding old bottles and some old coins laying on top of the ground. I am just waiting on permission to hunt the area, i think my chances are pretty good since i am good friends with the job super. Will let you know. Keeping my fingers crossed.

talked with super on the phone and he says there may be a problem, insurance liabilities. I am going to tell him that I lost something at the job sight so he can tell his superiors that way I may be able to hunt for a while. will keep you informed

Talked with super again today 5-3-05 and he said it was ok for me to go in there and detect. Will probably go over one day after work this week. I am so pumped, he confirmed that his workers have been finding old bottles and coins (wheaties) he didnt say anything about silver but I am sure there is some there. Will post after my first hunt.

Waiting on it to quit raining, it has rained every day so far this week, whatever day it does not rain then I will hit it hard.

Does wet ground and/or rain have a negative effect on MDing? I mean we could just cover the electronic part of the MD and go right?

well I could cover the control box on my machine but I really dont want to be out hunting in a thunderstorm, I will wait. I have read that it is better to detect wet ground, can get the deeper signals.
