I like it when people rescue items of beauty ! I'm curious how much it costs to restore something like that . You can't go wrong with a $5 item especially if you plan to keep it .

I actually contacted Alex Winter at Hakes Americana. I have dealt with them in the past with some consignments, and they recommended a couple places that did great work. I contacted one and they called me on the phone that day, went through the process of preservation/restoration and gave me an estimate. 6 weeks later, its done!
