Post Your Pet Pictures

Well Treasure_Hunter, Ruby and Lucky are very fortunate to have someone like you and your wife on their side. :notworthy:
Everybody should take care of their "companions".

My son had a 9 year old cat that developed a sudden and extremely aggressive ear cancer. He did all he could to try and beat the cancer but in the end, ( about 3 months ), they lost the battle. He had no Pet insurance, yet willingly spent over ????? to try and help her. They used some new machine that there are only two in the U.S. and so few specialists to operate it that the actual procedure took place in one state while the specialist doing the procedure was in another state. Complicated logistics process.

Poor thing,........

Just old age?

I'm so sorry WD my prayers go out to you and your family. They are not just animals they are part of the family

Yes, he was old, 14-1/2 yrs. He had a mini stroke (that's what my daughter said) last week. Snapped out of it with a little stiffness when he walked. Then, Monday night she came home to find him having a big one and he was getting sick and all that. They had a family meeting and decided it wasn't fair to Bo to leave him alone while they had to go to work and school. So they made arrangements to put him down yesterday afternoon. They came over and buried him on the farm. He was a cool grand dog and would knock the younger pups out of the way to see his "Grandma." Sure will be missed!

Thank you Sanman and GB.

I missed your post Sis :sadsmiley:
You know how I feel about pets and I truly feel the pain. A good looking fellow he was. My parents had a dog before I was born and they said his name was Bo Bo. :notworthy:
I am really sorry for your loss and it is hard to think of the right words. As sad as it is, you guys made the right decision considering the circumstances and no one around to watch over him. Maybe he and Simon will become friends .

R.I.P. Bo Bo :angel11:

Thank you Simon. We now have Milo, Otis, Dixie and Bocephus buried out here. And our would've been 6th grandchild, Angel. I read your post and got a brief vision of Simon and Bo frolicking around and Max ruling the roost. Thanks. I needed that. :dog::dog::cat:

They have a safe haven and are waiting for the day we join them. I read that "Rainbow Bridge" a lot. Like people say, they are more than "pets".

yeah,,, I am not sure if I got a bad bag or what...

Been feeding it to them for years and no problem... then all of a sudden diarrhea all night.

You never know ARC, since both (?) got sick that makes the food look like the culprit.
Sneakers recently threw up. Three times in less than 5 minutes. Twice on the floor and one huge one in her litter box. And she was so scared she even let out a soft whimper or crying sound. No recall yet on that product, but immediately switched to a different one. ( I had never heard her let out such a soft and scared sound ).

There is what's known as,.... "a quality of mercy"

Putting an end to needless suffering is the ethical thing to do.

Olivia is a King Charles mix we picked out from an English spaniel Rescue organization we use to foster for.
(It wasn't easy to "give them away" even though we went into it convincing ourselves it was like pet sitting for an extended period of time till the "owners" returned home and claimed them. Very rewarding but had to take a break when the last two that we "had" for over 2 years (and had "resigned" ourselves to keeping) were adopted out within two weeks of each other. Very happy for them and I wouldn't change anything about fostering but it was hard to see them go.)

Olivia was about 2 when we got her in 2015.

With all the balls to play with she chooses the pine cone. (I think she associates them with "Skurls" which she tries her hardest to sneak up on!)

When picking up the balls to mow we would put them in the planter. She likes to account for all her toys so she jumped into it and now that is one of the games. It was the perfect size and height to jump into when she was younger. Not as easy to do since putting on weight from her health scare.

Last image is her and Pretty Boy (aka "Killer" by the Lizards and rodents in the neighborhood). They are going tail to tail in a sleep fest.

Great thread and a great way to share stories of some of our closest friends.

Olivia and Pretty Boy are cute! Pretty cool thing you did by fostering. Simon will like that. It is neat to hear the stories. Animals can be so funny and adorable.
