Well lately most of my finds haven't really been "post worthy", but I think last weekends 1942S Merc and todays 1950D Franklin Half, might be exceptions. B|lker and I hit one of our favorite sites. The same one that he found his 1920 British penny.

The reason it was asked if you clean such with your finger, is that scratching one these items looks new. Such on a high value coin will decrease value.

Nothing like the silver.. most of mine is lead ;D

Yeah, I've been doing this long enough to know better too, although I'm not 100% convinced that it wasn't there already, but it was probably me.

$0.60 in silver is always worhy.

Thanks. I use to go fishing and smelting across the lake from you. I remember fishing for landlocked salmon by Milliken Station with a fly rod right around this time of the year. What a hoot, but it sure was cold. Smelting at the salt mines was great too.

Nice I'll get my first silver this year... Then I can say this F2 is worthy of keeping.. I've along found silver pendants and a ring.

Cool find keep hunting.

Thanks and Good luck. I remember the first silver coin I ever found was a Walking Liberty half dollar (I forgot the year). Needless to say I was hooked after that.

They sure are purty, but never as shiny as my beloved pulltabs

Not as plentiful either. :D
