Not found at a garage sale, but rather after the sale was over laying beside the trash cans and other leftovers at the curb. Turns out this is a very collectible cookie jar that from research so far shows it is #829 of 1000 produced. Still scratching my head on how this got tossed.

"These aren't the cookies you are looking for..."

I had about a half dozen or more vintage and collectible cookie jars at my last yard sale. Not a single one sold. I was basically giving them away too for $2 and $3 dollars. They ended up at Goodwill because I didn't want to keep storing them. I would have bought that one there myself though. Nice freebie. Any damages on it?

17 listed as sold on worthpoint but I don't subscribe to get prices...

After a week on Ebay sold for $81.00, shipped it out this morning. Not bad for a freebie find.

Nice find and sold at a nice profit! "The Force" was with you!

That is a cool find, and an great sale, especially given what you paid for it! Congrats.

thanks to everyone for the positive feedback, still a rookie to ebay but quickly getting the feel for it. now its time to get that next garage sale gem. good luck all.
