Can anyone please help me Identify this coin.

It weighs 4 grams and is 21 mm.

Sorry, but it's the best pictures I could get. The coin is in pretty rough shape.

The blue writing is just what I think I see with my eyes. Doesn't mean it's correct.

Any info would be great.

Thanks. 20181215_094023.jpeg20181215_093923.jpeg20181213_182644.jpegScreenshot_20181213-182318.jpeg

I'm no coin expert, but it looks Roman to me? :icon_scratch:

Cru would know for sure.

I normally would agree(since I'm not an expert what so ever), but the "A" in the middle is actually a triangle. I'm not an expert in either Roman or Greek coins, all I know is the Greek alphabets fourth "letter" is a triangle.

Thanks!

I see a triangel, too. This would mean Delta and therefore greek. The letters make no sense to me tough. A tough nut to crack!

SpyHunter,
I agree; great ID
oiniadai_001rf.jpg

Some history: The coin shows the deity of the longest river in Greece, the Acheloos (anglicised from the Greek Αχελωος). This is the head of a mature, heavily bearded man, with two long, straight, dangerous-looking horns sticking out over his brow. This coin came from the town of Oiniadai, which gives its name to a modern Greek municipality; but the cult of the deity Acheloos was widespread.

Don.....
PS: The obverse is probably the head of Zeus.
