A friend showed me this and asked if I could get any info on it.
They said they purchased it at an antique show and the seller said it was a pirate ring.
The brass ring does appear to look aged, and looks similar to what some of the early 17th-18th century trade rings that I have seen, but the design is throwing me off.
The square logo with the cutouts does not look like anything I have ever seen.
Anyone ever seen anything like this. What is it? If its a ring, it seems strange the design is offset instead of being in the center. Any ideas.
Thanks for looking.

True story:
I had a friend once who was a happy, if compulsive "garage sale liar".
I remember he tried to get rid of an UGLY set of (very used) golf clubs by claiming they once belonged to Jackie Onassis!

Buyer beware, indeed!! :laughing7:
