I have a plate that appears to be pewter. On back it is stamped YORK METALCRAFT not METALCRAFTERS, there is no "ers", Made in U.S.A and in the center of back has 5018 and a large box M with the Y incorperated. not raised and nothing else added. The front has 1789. It does not appear to be Wilton. Any ideas

I did see that plate, my plate appears to be much older. I came across a site that showed the different marks/stamps and the metal craft stamp appears much older than the one that was at this sigt. I can not find any information on early York Metal craft. I did find the same design of a plate on ebay by typing in "1789 Pweter Plate, but it was by another maker. I think a reproduction to what I have. This plate was in a box that an elderly man keep his treasures, in that same box we found gold coins fron 1910.
