✅ SOLVED Possible musket ball?

Good morning everyone! Was out detecting over the weekend with a buddy and he found this. I believe it is a fired musket ball (hunting) it seems to be a small caliber. I don’t expect a lot of info on it, just confirmation that it is or isn’t a musket ball with maybe an approximate date?. Southeastern PA by the Delaware river.

It looks like it. If you scratch it does it leave a shiny scratch? Does it have weight to it? As far as a date, round balls are still used today so depending where you found it it could be old or more modern. I have a CVA black powder rifle that shoots .50 cal.

Round one for sure.
If the other one is not the same one it's most likely not because they deform in the opposite way. What I think that one might be is an early non round lead shot. Almost the same but just a little newer. Still mid to early 19th century. I have a round shot musket ball i found in a dirt hill and a deformed musket ball. Both very cool. Love musket balls. Just my thoughts.

So deformed it is hard to say if it is a musketball, but I believe it is too small, more likely a rifle ball. Muzleloading roundball for sure though.
