I found this in Hays, Kansas....
I have aleeady held converse with one of the most highly respected proponents of Coronado's expedition. An archaeologist from Arizona.

She is convinced it is a highly important find as well.

What insight did she share, as what part of the armor did it come from?

i can't wait to find out for sure..... If so..... it will be a historical find for sure.

and in my own hometown nonetheless!

when i started metal detecting i had an overwhelming feeling that there was ancient history under my feet.

i swear i can feel it in my bones when standing in a place of reverence.

Once again……this is one of the things that would have gone directly to dump for me. Glad y’all are sharing…..better to know what you’ve got prior to disposal.
