Good adventure. The mystery is sometimes the best part. In a way I was right with my guess of what you found...

Thanks for the journey!

Any information on the box would be great though maybe it has collector valu maybe a stretch

Hey buddy.... I think you did great and thanks for sharing. Many of us have done the same thing... and please don't feel bad. I thank you for sharing your adventure. Hopefully there will be others as you've done well for 13 years old already. Keep the spirit alive guy as I asked for my grandson Carter. And keep your head up and move forward.... Brad

Wow. It's like Geraldo Rivera opening Al Capone's vault. A bit anticlimactic.

But thank you very much for posting this. It was a fun thread. You built suspense and intrigued a lot of people (me included) on this site. Keep up the good work. You're young. If you stick with it I am confident you will discover a lot of banner worthy finds in the years ahead.

Sorry. Keep on searching, you never know when you will hit your next cache.

Let's see here.
Obtain permission to search old house..Check.
Locate container during course of prior recoveries in concealed location of old house.. Check.
Acquire,even improvise recovery tools..Check.
Study recovery methods when a challenge arises ,considering least destructive approach(A good thing anywhere)..Check.
Tenacity and patience..Check.
Document site and some recoveries ..Check.

I think J. has made some serious progress in his inquisitive interests in hunting.

Thanks for sharing it with us Jolteon.
Nothing ventured;nothing gained.

Hey, it turned out better than being bit by a vampire bat or having tentacles grab your arm. You out-did me in any case, best I ever found in my house was some beans in a keyhole.

Smaaart. You have learned well. Pretend like it was empty. Wink. Wink.

Karl von Mueller would be proud.

Thx I have been very fortunate to find one but even having that same Rush is undesirable it's so powerful that it made it feel that the box needed 500lbs of strength to open lol what a amazing experience!

Yes it was... so let's move on and keep looking. Wish I had you here to help sift and explore this cave of mine guy. You did good... but best of all you also learned defeat / failure which is good in itself. Maybe you'll understand later but you'll draw upon the feeling then.

Sorry to hear it was a bust.Thjats the way she goes sometimes.I know the feeling all to well, but us hunters have to look.Stuff is not gonna find us that's for sure:).thanks for sharing with us-HH

Jolteon...
You did find a treasure... Box that is...
Now you have something to put a real treasure in one day.
Save it just for your "killer" finds.

Still, A nice vintage box! I have to admit, this was a very fun thread to follow. Good luck on finding a cache!

That was a fun ride!
Is it possible the box had cufflinks in it? The 2 bands suggest 2 items to me.

thanks for posting your results, too many threads leave you hanging, wondering what happened.

Well done.
