Porous rock unlike anything I’ve seen

Any ideas on what this might be? I’ve never seen a rock like this before. Greenish gray in color, porous, each pore has a glassy surface, fairly light. Found it embedded in the ground.

Thanks for narrowing my search. No iron mines that I’m aware of, however there was a zinc mine/refinery 3miles east of where I found this piece.
