Generally speaking...
Do you prefer a metal detector with a straight shaft or a "S" shaft?

I prefer a straight shaft, i never could get comfortable swinging the AT PRO because of the shaft it had now the Xterra 705 was much more comfortable for me, but again for me i like the straight shafts betterGenerally speaking...

As far as comfort and swing go, whats the difference between the two?
I'm interested in something lighter and better balanced than the factory nox 800 shaft. Collapsing for travel would be great tooThe Xterra is the first photo and the way the control pod is attached makes the Xterra feel more like a straight shaft, The ATP was just uncomfortable for me to swing and is a S shaft , the third photo is the Legend which has a true straight shaft

The last S shaft I had was uncomfortable on the wrist. Went to a minelab straight shaft and was way better. Once dialed in balance was spot on with the different coils, and my wrist was straight with no pain. With my Sovereign detaching the box made a machine I could swing all day. Also nice for ceilings while doing building searchesAs far as comfort and swing go, whats the difference between the two?
