Point with Oyster

wow,thats neat. jamey

I think the barnacles were the patina, haha.
Guess it will be a very long time if ever before we see any shrimping or oyster boats working off the Gulf Coast...
Thanks Uni.

Yeah I don't know if it's the fact that it was posted on a flintknapping board by flintknappers, but I've got a feeling some knapper was looking for the ultimate patina and threw a big repro into his oyster trap.

Possibly so. But there is an increasing number of cross-over guys, with one foot in collecting and the other foot in replication. Which is not necessarily tantamount to ethical leprosy :laughing7:

Never would have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes.
Gotta wonder bout those knappers.
I'll play along.
That's Nucking Futs!

Once a knapper always a knapper. I would like to see a closeup off that point, Thirty7 once again has nailed this down tighter than a coffin lid.

I don't know about that one? But if it is real I wish I had found it. If its knapped I wish I could make a piece of artwork like that. Either way that is pretty cool.
