The purple could be Amethyst.
The yellow could be Citrine
The white could be Quartz

Is it scratch able with a knife??

the purple, I believe is florite (spelling?) there were several florite mines in IL. the white, are they little crystals covering the matrix? if so, it is probably druzy quartz. we have a lot of that here in SEMO, tho most is not white, but creamy & even pink & a brownish. the yellow? maybe florite again, I think some is yellow. go on the IL state page & look for minerals. thay should have a page w/ pix of IL minerals. MO does, & it tells where it is located etc, etc. Nice oieces. I have always wanted to get some florite from there, but heard the mines are all closed to collectors.

Eu, there have been some amazing fluorite (thanx for the spelling) specimens come out of that IL area. beautiful huge cubes sitting on quartz. man it would be nice to find one of those. I have one I bought several yrs ago, but prefer to find my own. it's a lot more fun.

All can be cabbed or tumbled.. Flourite is hellish to tumble with a rock tumbler hence it being very soft and will easily scratch!
I am unsure of amethyst chevron, never cabbed that fellow..
Or just keep as specimens is just nice that to. :coffee2:

Wild.. Hope you didn't mind me altering your image.. I tend to think this is the best way to really pin point something for someone..

Also the reason I said (Citrine/Champain Tourmaline) the outer edge appeared to have a tourmaline shape to it.. and not a broken or hexagon shape.. see if you can get a better picture of that stone from different points of view.

No problem! I think its awesome, and very much appreciate it!

I think its just a massive habit happend to be made that way, I am douptful if it has a trigonal crystal system.
But a new pic might just help. Also I can not see the typical "lines" of tourmaline?
