For the good of the order, this is French ivory. It was like a plastic or more closely a celluloid from the turn of the century made to look like ivory. Notice the lines only going one direction in parallel? No crosshatch.
Then it likely is stone. Probably white jade like Charlie said. I think you are safe. age, I’m not so sure of. Or even if it’s SE Asian or mezo American. But not ivory.
Get a pin and get the end hot. Touch it to the back of the object. If you see smoke and can smell burnt hair then it's ivory. If it smells of plastic then it's plastic. If there is no smoke or smell then it is Stone or glass. Walrus and Mammoth ivory are ok to have. Elephant ivory before a certain date is ok to. Whatever you do don't throw it away. If you don't want it, send it to me.
There’s also different kinds of ivory, elephant, mammoth, whale, walrus, not all is illegal, and antique ivory is perfectly legal. Many of my swords have ivory handles. Ivory generally feels somewhat cold even at room temperature.
