I found this metal detecting in a field. There is nothing on the obverse side. Can someone please tell me what kind of coin this is or if its some kind of token??? Please help!!! I have been researching for a week now and I haven't come with much. I'm dying to know what it is. IMG_1741.webp

I think that I'm seeing a mortar/pestle as well. Could this be an apothecary token? Maybe from a travelling medicine show? It might be helpful to know the general part of the world this was found in.

I can see the monopoly resemblance, but I never knew they had tokens, do you have any links or references?

Hey everyone! sorry I haven't been on here to comment. I don't have internet at home so i can only get on here when I'm at work. :) Anyways, thank you everyone for your comments this an awesome website with lots of cool people. By the way i found this token in the great state of North Carolina my home state. :) I will try to have a pic of the back side of the token up tommorrow. I also found a round ball bullet in the same field mayb the token is from the same era??? Oh, and does anyone think this token could be worth anything?? I'm still doing some research and if I find out what this thing is I will definately post as soon as I can.

could be a variation of this token. it shows Gen. Tom Thumb standing next to a book to show his small size. could be the same only next to a boot to show his small size.the obverse is a copy of a bust coin.tom thumb.webp
