Hello, I am helping a friend clear out her apartment and we are wondering if you know what these are:

one is some kind of tooth (is it great white?)

the other is a really heavy stone pendant (though I don't know who'd want to wear this round the neck).

Are they worth anything?

Thank you in advance for your time :notworthy: Scary Tooth_1.jpgScary Tooth_2.jpgVintage stone pendant_1 copy.jpgVintage stone pendant_2 copy.jpg

Welcome Sybba! We could use some size reference on these. Sharks shed their teeth many times throughout their lives. These could be sand shark or a juvenile great white. The only way you might get some bonafides info would be to contact a marine zoologist or a really good seashell dealer.

The pendant might be bycolored jade. If it really large it may be something intended for ceremonial use. Have the material IDed first and go from there!

I agree. The tooth was probably from a great white it matches their teeth.

Thank you so much - this is really useful :icon_thumright::goldtrophy:!! Sorry about forgetting to include the sizes - I am stuck knee-deep in all sorts of things with this clear-out!
The tooth is 2cm (0.79in) long and 2cm across at the base. The strange pendant is 5.5 cm (2.2 in) high, 5 cm (2 in) wide and 1.5 cm (0.6 in) thick.
