I’ve tried to find where to post in (Whats This), but no Luck

Anyway, I found this at an old 1850’s house.
Made of brass. Has an ornate side & the other side is flat. It doesn’t appear to have been fastened to anything. Back is super smooth. I found it about 3 years ago & I really want to know what it is.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Shaped like a strap end but no way to fasten it?

Found in central Indiana?
It’s John Cougar’s guitar pick! 🤪
Neat find whatever it is.
Congrats,
MM (from Indiana too)

Victorian era electric guitar pick. Case closed.
