Please Help ID this object...

I dug this at approximately 2 inches. The quarter is to give perspective on size. The 2 rusty circles in the center appear to be where the object was screwed onto something. It appears to be plated cast. The lamb with light emanating from it is usually associated with Christian religious iconography; however, this was dug in a city park near an old school, with no known history of a church at that site. Any ideas

Hard to tell in the picture. Is there something to pull? Can we see a side and back view?

I am not convinced that is a lamb. Dog, maybe?

To me it looks more like a dinosaur or a sleestack.

Pet grave marker?

That is a mourning lamb, probably either a plaque or handle off of a child's coffin.
