My youngest daughter and I went out and hit some schools on Sunday. One playground/field area was particularly generous. My daughter is just getting in to detecting and did pretty well with two kiddie rings, a stainless steel "kitty cat" hair band, and a handful of clad.

Daughter's finds...

I found the usual kiddie bling, but also managed to score a marked .925/CZ ring. In yet another OTWBTTT (On The Way Back To The Truck) scenario, I got a beautiful tone and 83 VDI on Medusa, (my AT Max,) and dug a complete, undamaged, marked "Sterling" pendant and necklace. Also raked in over $6.00 in clad for charity.

My finds...

Thanks for peeking, get out and dig if you can. Cheers, Sub 8-)

Mighty nice haul there for you, and the little lady. I’ve got to get a battery pack for my dads IDX so my daughter can go. She’s 15 now, and the IDX would be perfect for her. Plus they’re almost bulletproof. I can remember me, and my twin brother would go with our dad when we were just old enough to walk, wed watch him detect, with the trusty old Whites 6000/D. I remember the huge chunk of batteries he’d have to always replace them with when they went down, and now looking at what we all run, I’ve got 4 double A’s, the Etrac I had was one single battery, my Tesoro a 9v, then dad had 14 AA’s in his. Talk about a heavy dude. I let my wife try that one out vs mine, and she quickly took mine back to use[emoji23]

Glad your daughter is interested in detecting. Time spent with her will be precious. Taking her to a place that virtually guarantees some finds is good idea because it keeps the interest up.

Well done!

And well done getting the next generation out there swinging a coil!

Great post good hobby for her to get into. Sounds like you had alot of fun
