hey gang,
I found these at a possible homesite that dates from the mid to late 1800's. I'm just trying to date the chards, I know there not much to go on. But there are a LOT of GREAT researchers here, and I have confidence. I have no makers mark, just these edge pieces... So let the challenge begin.

Thankx

hey PBK,
It's close but yet different.... The pagoda house has some variations, the tree limbs are not the same and I don't see the " really " dark blue in the plate. Do you have anything that would be closer ?? Or a link to some other plates ???

PLL

hey gang,
Anyone know any more on these... I looked at the link but the pattern is different..I really need a "expert" opinion....

Hi GpSnoopy,
Thanks !!!! The pagoda does look close, but the tree limbs are not quite there. The dark blue chip is something I have never seen before either. I'm sure the chards are all not from the same plate, maybe 2. I think the pagoda and tree are from the same plate... the others.. I don't know..

Thankx

Hello CarolinaDigs,
THANK YOU !!!! I have looked at some of the Blue Willow plates but can't see the " exact " pattern. Do you know what year they are ?? It's REALLY important for me to find this out. This was taken from a very popular stage station out west. I think it's from the homesite and the year on the plates would help establish that. Since noone knows for sure where the site was, this could help determine that.. Any help would be GREAT !!!!

Thnakx

Hey Carolinadigs,
Thank You for dating these, the " spongeware " I'm assuming is the darker of the 3. Can you tell me any more about it ??

Thankx
PLL

PLL the spongeware or sometimes referred to a spatterware is your smallest shard . This design was used alot on bowls and crocks, >blue the favorite among collectors, although it came in browns also. Sometimes with later wares pink even. The blue piece is most likely flow blue and English. Hope you find more lovely pieces  Digs

Pegleg,

Try the library on Center & (Garfield (I think)) They used to have a pretty good pile of books & the reference librarian would do black flips to help. There used to be a little hole in the wall Antique store in Pedley that was really helpful for me. Not sure if the store is still there, haven't been down there in a long long time.
