Pinpointing Gold

Is there any need for a pinpointer when detecting gold
or don't the hand held pinpointers detect gold?

My Detector Pro Pulse Pointer will hit on a gold nugget as small as .2 grams, but it has to be really really close. Without a doubt, the Falcon MD20 will hit on gold so small that you can barely see it. but again, it needs to be really-really close. "Go to the Gold, away for black sands."
