Hello all,
I bought this detector a few years ago and put it away for quite awhile. I got laid off and then went to school, but I broke it out and am back hunting again! Anyways, I am having problems pinpointing with the Blue Max 950 coil that came with the detector. I have been using an older Blue Max 600 coil for the moment. Seems that with the 950 coil, I am having some problems centering the target...I am almost always either to the left or right of the target after I dig. I usually hunt with the presents in the ring range until I am more comfortable, but could anyone offer any hints or suggesting when it comes to pinpointing? I just HATE digging an larger than necessary hole when I am hunting! :-[

Thanks and happy hunting,

Hey Steeler, once you get the signal, try criss crossing over it in an X. Where the lines cross hopefully will be your target. Just a suggestion if you haven't tried it. Good Luck and let us know. 8)
