Pink skies in the South this morning

It wasn't as colorful of a sunrise this morning as it has been, but for some reason the skies to the south were pink.

Mornings like that always makes me think of the old saying: "red skys in the morning, sailors take warning. red skys at night, a sailors delight." Or something like that, I have rarely seen truth in it, but I live inland and am not a sailor.
