pin pointers

I have the fisher and never put it in the dirt wasted money i should have put down on the garrett...im not a garrett fan but there pin pointer is tough to beat

I have one of the Fisher F-Points I got "free" with my Fisher. Works well enough and is small (it fits nicely in a sleeve that was on my carpenter's belt). I MUCH prefer the Sunray FX-1 that uses the detector's display and earphones. No comparison. If you're about to spend that much on the Garrett I'd save a bit longer and get a Sunray. No additional batteries, never forgotten and left at home or dropped unnoticed, submersable and rugged.

I have a bounty hunter and wish i woulda saved my money. Unless the coin is right on the tip it doesn't sound off. Itd like everything else in this hobby u get what u pay for.

Also not a Garrett fan BUT the Pro Pointer is wonderful.

Omg another man with enough brass to say they dont like garretts 2 thumbs up

I got the fisher pp with my wifes machine.I couldnt stop laughing when I tried to use it.I had to get her a garrett pp.I have a sunray mounted probe and like it alot.but I gotta say....her(my) garrett pro pointer is the best I have ever used(for me).buy it now or buy it later, you prolly going to end up with one.

The Centech pinpointer from Harbor Freight works much better than the Fpointer, IMHO. i have both, & the Centech pinpointer is deeper and also detects along the side of the wand., The Fpointer seems a bit more durable, but i did wear through the tip of mine eventually, but granted I was digging around with with it quite a bit. Never tried a Garrett amd I don't have an extra 127 bucks laying around, so the Centech ($25.50 shipped) is doing the job well enough.

the vibra probe 560 is the one to get it is submersible Aaa garret can't say that. to me if I was too lay down some bucks it would be a vi-bra probe it will smoke a garret in 15 feet of water or even a foot it will smoke it check one out...

I bought a harbor freight special, when I sent my Garrett in for switch repair. Its not a garrett by any means, but I know I found stuff I would have gave up on without it

i love my propointer. i especialy like how the beeps start slow and progress faster as u get closer to the target i highly recomend one

any pin-pointer is good when there working when you can buy a detector for the price of a pin-pointer then there some thing wrong

I agree but the propointer is so good at what it does i couldnt resist lol. it cost almost as much as my detector.

Buy the Garrett ProPointer and you won't be sorry. Unless of course, you do a lot of underwater detecting. Then you will want to get the VibraProbe.

Mind you this is a biased opinion. I bought the vibraprobe first, used, and a great price. But after seeing and borrowing a Garrett pinpointer, I now have 2. One did get sent back for repalcement, but no BS, here is your new pinpointer, Thanks!

In other words, I would by the Garrett again. I guess I already did that didn't I?

HI BOB!

Don't waste any money on buying a Fisher pointer. Cen-Tech is much better and Garrett is the best IMHO.

i have a whites that i use and it does a good job , on my sovereign i use a sunray and it the best, if you can afford it , i would go with the sunray everytime.

I own a Garrett and if it tells me something is in the hole, I'll dig until it stops beeping and vibrating, I wouldn't hunt without it.

Depends on what you'll be hunting for the most.

coins, and coin sized objects then either the sunray or the garrett

if you're hunting tiny objects (gold nuggets that are very tiny, and the like) then neither one of those will work - they won't even beep.
