PHOTOS * "flavored"soda water coke bottle * help id date / plant made please
recently I found a odd item -- a "straight sided" 6 oz "flavored" soda water bottle that was owned by the coca cola bottle bottling company --by which used to bottle items other than just coca cola *
it is straight sided , round shaped and clear colored glass ---it has a five pointed star and the words "SODA WATER" on both sides on the "shoulder" area of the bottle --- along the base on one side it says "PROPERTY OF THE COCA - COLA BOTTLING COMPANY" on the other side along the base "MINIMUM CONTENTS 6-FLUID OZ."
ON THE BOTTOM --THE WORD "FLORIDA" AND A FIVE POINTED STAR
I am trying to find out date range and plant of manufactor -- I know i that most coca cola bottling plants listed the city of manufactor (where this one just list the "state")--and that round "flavor bottles" are rarer -- I know that jacksonville, florida had a coca cola plant starting in 1903 and wonder if its from there? one web site says the shoulder script style making in canada is 1910 to 1919 era ish. --any coke bottle experts out there? I'm thinking 1903 to 1919 era jacksonville plant?
