I previously posted some pic's I have from my dad he took in Korea 1950. I wanted to know the type of military vehicals in the pictures and it was found one was a Russian type jeep. It was noted, the person in the Russian jeep, 'known as a GAZ 64' was a strong possibilty of a known Greek commander Geo. Koumanakoso. Still I can't verify that is Koumanakoso, but DCMatt thought it to be a strong possibiliy and that Koumanakoso was the subject of the photo and not so much the Russian jeep as I was thinking.

In this picture, I'm wondering if this person may be a known person in command during the time of the Korean War? It looks as if my dad layed low and waited for this person to look the other way to snap the shot. This fellow drilling the troops may or may not be someone of importance at the time of the Korean war?... Let me know your thoughts?

I only see one bar on his hat but he looks a little old to be a lieutenant. If you look closely, it may be a cross. The Army does not require chaplains and clergy to wear their rank on their hats like the rank and file. They are allowed to show the symbol of their faith. In this case, I think it is a cross. In my opinion, this may be a church service with a chaplain or a prayer before a mission....
