Ok, you guys are going to think I’m nuts (the last forum did). I have been prepping this for a month now and I am 100% convinced that it is a petrified lizard of some kind. It has a crown on his head and a sail on his back. I have sent pics to a group of paleontologists and am waiting for the reply. Will post it when it comes. I’m still working on it and will show my progress. By the way, it’s another decorative rock from my driveway here in Washington. It’s 4” long x 2” wide. I’m sane, I swear!

Oh I have no idea if it is or isn't a real fossil or just the pareidolia. Some folks are really good at seeing the pareidolia, and some need a helping hand.
Either way good eye on finding the specimen.

Here's mine, they could be brother's from a different mother. ( But who got all the good looks?):laughing7:
Been with me, looking out for me for since /79

That looks like Manzanita root. Pretty cool how it has an animal head look to it.

Like ink blots people see different things.
I’m sure you’re not surprised to hear me say, I see it! Lol.
I love you guys. Thank you so much for your encouraging responses. Even though you are sure it’s just a rock you have appreciated my enthusiasm. I started going to forums to try to get tips on how to clean it but all I got from other forums was’ it’s a rock. If you don’t believe our combined intelligence go somewhere else!’ So I winged it and really screwed up by leaving it in vinegar way, way too long. Now when I remove material down to what I think is “skin” it immediately grows back before I can even take a picture. I finally got some polyvinyl and it’s helping but… it’s still disintegrating before my eyes. I’m not giving up yet though. Here’s pics. I still believe 🤪

Hey bub, I don't think your crazy. I have a petrified lizard rock, legit, skin, quite a bit of skin actually, which is how I realized it was really a fossil and not an effigy. It's kinda gross, but as real as you and me....I challenge anyone to say what I got isn't a real, petrified lizard of some sort.

Sorry, all of your pictures are out of focus, nothing visible in pictures posted other than blurry rocks..
