Detector(s) used
White's DFX and my old BH Prospector DX as a backup!
I was dropping my daughter off at day care this morning and the director informed me that they had just installed a new outdoor playset and that one of the construction crew had dropped his pocket knife in the process. I told him that I would gladly be back after work with the DFX to find the danger to my kiddo. I brought my backup detector as well and let the director have a swing or two (he may be hooked!). It only took about 10 minutes to find the knife, several 4 inch screws, and lots of small scrap metal. My Daughter grabbed the Bounty Hunter and in 2 minutes found a small charm pendant. The daycare director was very appreciative and tomorrow, weather permitting, the kids can play on the new playset!

(p.s.) Sorry, I didn't have the camera with me :(

Are you kidding?! I'd have to quit my job and do that full time..This is San Antonio ;)

Just cleaning out the play area is going to make you feel better, I like to hunt around the swings and slide not just for the loot, but we clean up alot of bad trash, anything to help keep kids safer!
How old is your daughter?

You did good! I know those kids will be happy to get out there and play. :)

Nana :)

Congrats, you did a wonderful things. May you be blessed tenfold.

Pepper :)

Way to go Jeff,
We have to keep those potential future detectorist safe.

My wife and I were getting alittle grief from a child's mother because we
were detecting a tot lot, but after we showed her the razor blades we
removed from the chips she calmed down and thanked us for removing
them.

You did a great service to the little kids. Now they can play in a safe play ground. Great job. You represented the hobby in a great light. Way to go

I show them the nasty "dangers" we remove from their kids play area ---and they tend shut up rather quickly --- ;) ---

Hold the press......you mean to tell me that you spent all that money on a DFX and your daughter found a bracelet with your backup detector?

I couldn't resist. Good job on finding the knife.

That was very good of you to find and remove the items of danger from the daycare playset.
