Anyone know if this could be a rare 1800's Mother Marry pendent? Thank you. 1358708669716.jpg1358708684540.jpg

The first medal of this type was made in 1832 and distributed throughout Paris. Today, they are manufactured worldwide in many variations. BTW, the 12 stars represent the 12 apostles who formed the first church. The 1830 date represents the year of the vision of Mary standing in the position as shown on the medal.

The medal is not rare. They made a million, ....no make that zillion of them.. They are hard to date. Still made today.

I think yours says STERLING. It may be old. May be early half of the 20th century.

You are welcome. It may be old but there were literally billions of Miraculous medals made over the years. I see nothing special about yours sorry to be so blunt but I must be honest. There are many, many variations and I wont even bother trying to match it. Been there, done that. I see absolutely no reason to think yours is special or made for a special person. Its actually very worn you cant read it. It is however a nice find and it may be sterling silver.
