Pave diamond ring

My father found a 14 kt. pave diamond ring that has a stamp on the inside band. It is stamped with 14 kt followed by something that looks like a diamond shape, a letter B and what looks like a rounded out version of cross (like a plus sign in bubble letters). He wants to sell it and I told him I would do it for him, but before I do, I wanted to see if anyone knew what that symbol meant or how I could find that out? We had it appraised and the jeweler didn't say anything about it, but I don't want to sell off this ring if it's worth more than it was appraised for.
