I second 3M 5200. That stuff is super tough. The underground cable patch stuff is super sticky, too. Something flexible is best to use on plastic. Plastic weld epoxies work really well, they have some flex without cracking and are sold at a lot of areas that sell epoxy. G-Flex epoxy is sworn by, it’s flexible, also. I dont like JB weld plastic weld, it’s different than all the other ones and is more brittle, but it will work for plugging a hole. Versachem, permatex, and loctite brands all use the same formula. If your floats are made from HDPE plastic you’ll need to rough it up really well. Nothing really sticks to that stuff very well.
