Winter is coming so I can't get out as much. I thought I'd post this one I found a few months ago. This was found at a small cellar hole. It is a pewter spoon. I have seen pictures of these in my Rev War book. I'm guessing late 1700's. They called them "re used bowl spoons" They would sometimes decorate the spoons (or pieces), drill holes etc. in them and re-use them. This one broke on the handle where a hole was drilled in it. It also has a hole drilled in the handle just below the break and also at the tip of the spoon. I thought it was neat to find one of these.

That's an old one. Pewter style if I am correct.

I have found them just like that at some older foundations.

Pretty neat.
We've been lucky with our weather in this area....I think I'm going to hit a beach tomorrow while the temps are up.

SO

Good luck at the beach. I live about 35 minutes from the beach and go in the winter when I can't get in the woods. So far I have been able to avoid the beach ;D ;D
