Here's a few pictures from the last few hunts!!! I love the Kandas piece. The Cadet button I would like to know more about, I might have to clean it more. Happy Hunting!! Anyone know what the round thingvid in last pictures. Ita about an inch across.
The item with saeco on it is likely an ingot of lead or linotype.Saeco is a maker of bullet molds and bullet casting equipment, they made a mold with 4 cavities that would cast a nominal 1 lb.lead ingot. Your ingot looks to be linotype,an alloy of lead and antimony with tin added too, harder than pure lead and fills out the cavities of a mold very nicely. look up Saeco, they,re still in business I think, and linotype press, you,ll get a good feel for the Colorado Press thingy.

In toto a really nice bunch of finds,I like them all.You should post that animal tag in the "tokens and tags" Forum under dog tags. a guy there, odd coins, has a wealth of knowledge and reference works on tags like that and can likely tell you all about it.

I don’t think so
Unless the image shown is reversed
I worked for a while in my high school days as a printers devil, look that up too,for our local paper. One of my jobs was to get the type metal melted, fluxed and cleaned for the printer to go to work.Part of that was taking old cast letters and such and add them to the mix.

Your round thing with all the holes reminds me of an old time radio or TV vacuum tube socket, just a mind fart that may or may not be relevant.

Looks a bit like a part from a manual bud grinder.

Isn’t the Colorado press thing backwards?
Yes, I reversed the picture. I love printing related items. My mother worked for a printer. I studied it in College. I have a couple old presses in my antique store!!

Boy you sure uncover a lot of interesting finds in your hunting grounds. Not at all sure what that perforated disk might be?. First thought was a ground beef insert on a hand crank meat grinder, but yours doesn't have a center hole.

Thanks Tamrock, extra good month of hunting!!! It is about quarter size. I'm guessing a paintbrush piece or a flame spreader!!
