Passed this bracelet by for over 2 weeks!

Went by a local thrift I frequent to get lucky even though they check everything usually and send it to corporate for pricing and maybe send back to stores to sell. Found a couple small pairs of gold earrings and started searching jewelry racks much closer. Saw the bracelet before and skipped it since it looked cheap and was safety clasp was broken. Decided to look closer and saw a mark and could see “750”. I was dumbfounded since this is a heavily shopped spot for jewelry and I was one of the people that kept skipping it! Weighs 36g and is marked with a “star 1024 VI”. I’m hoping to identify the maker before I sell it!

Good find.

The star followed by a number (with up to four digits) and then two letters (or four letters as 'ROMA') is an Italian hallmark. The 'VI' is for the municipality of Vicenza and the four digits are the registration number for the maker. Unfortunately, I only have a list for 20th Century Vicenza makers that goes up to 652 so I would asume your number is for a more modern maker (21st Century or possibly late 20th Century).

Thanks RC! You were the person I was hoping would know that registration number. I figured it was modern based on the flex wire style but had no idea how to find registration numbers. Either way, I’m excited. LOL. Thanks for your super fast response!!

Very nice find, congrats.

Being flexible, there's most likely steel spring wire running through each coil. So if you go to scrap it, they'll probably want to cut it and remove the wire or they'll estimate the weight lower than the scale registers. Good find either way.
