The iron piece is from a utility pole. It went through the cross arm vertically and the insulator was screwed on to it to hold the wire.

Dnewbury2 is correct. I sell telecom equipment, we have ones that are very similar to that.

I really like the bullet with the ram rod marks on the nose. very cool
I was wondering about that,so I guess if it were ramrod marks it was a fired bullet, someone told me they thought it was used under the trigger to protect percussion cap opening. What do you think?
