Parks in Victoria

I did a lot of detecting in Central Park in the 70's/80's and found a fair amount of stuff. My best find was a 1901 half dollar and a friend found a 1935 silver dollar(!). I think there are still coins to find there. Best area was all around the tennis courts and the trees in the middle of the park.

Beacon Hill Park is so big, we never knew quite where to go, but the waterfront look-outs yielded some Victorian American coins. Clover point area was never that great.

We never detected in Oak Bay, so I can't say whether that would be worthwhile.

So many places we went are now covered with condos/highrises/malls,etc

I should have detected the lawn at Craigdarroch Castle when I used to volunteer there ;D
