Park and the beach

[The Beep Goes On]

Hi All,

I hunted a park the other day (1st pic) to get used to the SE. Didn't expect much as I have really hunted that park hard and I don't know the detector that well yet. It was a good time and there were a few finds to be had.

Today I went down to Galveston. It was awesome...cold, low-tide, wind blowing from the North, nobody on the beach, endless acres of wet sand...that's my idea of detector heaven. Didn't find a whole lot, but did find a couple of keepers (both 14K, 2nd pic). I was pleased that the SE was relatively stable and definitely goes deep.

Heeeey. Nice gooooold. Did you finds those gulls with the SE too? That ring was probably the prettiest thing in Galveston.

What kind of detector is an SE?

A Minelab Explorer SE (http://esvc001452.wic020u.server-web.com/consumer/page.php?section=272&pId=5&pNm=Explorer%20SE&x=y). I've been using a Whites since I started detecting (XLT, DFX) and decided to try a Minelab.
