I don't know how well versed you guys are in artwork but you've never let me down before so I figured it was worth a shot.
I grew up with this print/painting on the wall and my mother always told me it was of Joan of Arc but other people who have seen it have had their doubts and now I have mine. I was just watching a documentary about King Arthur and it showed the same print while discussing Sir Lancelot. I've been searching all over for more information but have found nothing. Any ideas? Maybe it is someone else entirely?

Why do you need to tell her? After all this time, you know, but does she need to? I'd keep quiet unless asked.... but that's my personal view.

Because even if disappointed I would want to be told if I were in her position. Now because of this information she knows who the painting is of, who painted it and when it was painted and that is information I would want to know as opposed to knowing nothing about it at all.

I agree with you; this way she can pass on accurate info to people who admire it. She should google Sir Galahad. Interesting character, no-one to be ashamed of, tho Joan of Arc was real, and awesome. Hopefully she won't be disappointed, it's still a great picture!

She wasn't that awesome to us Brit's! Although she did make an awesome bonfire! :tongue3:

Also, the jury is still out on whether Arthur, Lancelot and Galahad etc actually existed or not.

Ha! So true!! :laughing7: And, ewww, tacky. :P
But she was an awesome strong female heroine in the midst of all those male heroic figures in my history books! :hello2:

And I WAS careful to say "character" so as to keep everyone happy. But you have a point. :read2:
Wouldn't it be cool if someone found Camelot? Then we could believe in dragons, too!

That is what my mom liked about her too. At least now that she knows her print is not of Joan of Arc I can actually find her a print that is of Joan of Arc.
