Wow, Congrats. They actually reproduced them in a limited quantity in 1985......but yours looks original. The repros have an 85 in the middle of the back.

Because of the Skull and Crossbones, I was going to say that you probably needed a Skeleton Key to open it. That key resembles a light switch key that would be used in Public Bathrooms like those found in schools.
