Dug the ox knob in a hay field in Connecticut back in December , the other thing looks like maybe a different type/ style of ox knob ? Whuddaya think? It’s all iron and heavy, dug in south central Massachusetts on a old house site. I’ll post more pictures cuz I think only one uploaded.

Possibly a balance scale weight... similar t this but ?

Would a balance weight be made of iron? I guess I have seen brass ones sooooooooo.......could be, thanks AARC

Thanks guys, it looks to be ( judging by the rust/pitting/depth/location) more than 75 years old. It was found within feet of a barn’s foot print, the barn burnt to the ground in the very early 1900’s and was built in the 1770’s so I guess all the farming equipment theories make total sense. Thanks again!! Have I mentioned I hate winter? GO PATRIOTS!!!!!!
