I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this,or possibly this website has been posted before.... BUT at any rate I recently came across this website, which lists TONS of old mills, all around the USA. You can even search by state. Of course, ALWAYS track down the property owner before you trespass to get permission. Tons of great history, pictures, information, etc on this site all having to do with old mills. Here it is:

www.millpictures.com

Let me know if you get any hot leads from any of these mills, and please post what you find! Thanks! Enjoy!!

Interesting site. I knew a little additional info about a couple of the California mills, and provided it to the website.

Great Idea Treasure!...yes, you can also send the webmaster additional information, updated pictures, etc.

Sorry to burst your bubble but there is no treasure in old mills.

Guess that would depend on your definition of "treasure." Strictly speaking for myself, treasure comes in many forms - not all of them tangible. A beautiful sunset, a warm summer morning, a quiet evening on the back porch can all be considered treasures - and seeing some old mill sites can be a treasure in itself. I know of one mill that was not listed on the website and that mill coughed up some nice, valuable treasures many years ago. Seek and ye shall find.

I agree with you Treasure Tales. Old Mill equals old site equals old property equals old coins and other old stuff. Sure, not EVERY mill may contain treasure, but you never know!

Thanks a lot for the link.
