Well, back home from my trip to the outer banks. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice on hunting there. I tried a little bit of everything and had fun. Though I didn't come away with anything spectacular, I learned a lot, got some interesting finds, and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Only jewelry finds were this copper earring and a kids ring:
I also found a nice assortment of metals. Not sure about the melted parts, though they are light - so not lead-like. Maybe aluminum.
I also found this interesting rock. What made me take notice was the shape and symmetry. A tool perhaps?
I also found this large shell. Have to wonder how that got there, geez:
I also found a bunch of clad. Not pictured, a ton of newer, completely corroded pennies. They truly are junk these days.
All in all, a great time.
