Not counting the club hunts this is what I have found since March 26, 2005:

1920 Walking Liberty Half
1899 Barber Quarter
1937 and 1943 Mercury dimes
1946, 1957, 1958 Roosevelt dimes
1887, 1897 Indian head pennies

7 Silver rings
1 gold ring
1 18" gold chain
1 silver pendent

928 clad coins totaling $81.10

So far its been a pretty good year.

In 3 years of hunting found no silver coins, but i did find an 1828 half cent which makes up for that :) I did find a few artifacts markged sterling, and a sterling earing. The citizen watch was worth more than the silver would have been anyway ;D

I do not look for coins but do find them occasionaly. Never found any silver untill June 6(D-day) 32 all seated libertys except for one and it was a bust dime. Dates are from 1836 to 1860 found 'em all in one spot on a CVW battlefield. 7 quarters, 2 half dimes and the rest dimes...d2

been at it since march of 2005 and have found;

5 silver roosevelt dimes
2-silver washington quarters
4-mercury dimes 1925,1934,1942 and 1945
1- 1903 barber dime
1-1781 spanish half reale

Since buying my dfx 3 and a half yrs ago I have found off the top of my head around 175 silver coins. Give or take a few either way. I did hunt about ten yrs ago with a white's eagle spectrum that wasn't mine and found somewhere around 30 silver coins.

In about a good five yr span that I have been into detecting I would estimate over 200 silver coins.

I'm averaging somewhere around 50 a yr or so. Same with indianheads. About 200 wheat's a year. Not alot of clad because I no longer clad hunt.

There's still alot out there but it's hard work nowadays to stay consistent. You need time energy and a good unit.

I work hard to make these types of finds. Nothing really comes easy for me. History around here helps but I'm not just walking right outside and digging silver coins. I'm seaking out hidden rough places to find all this stuff.

Just some of my experiences in the hobby so far.

Being I hunt mostly Civil War relics I don't get to find much silver but when I do I think I do preety well.
3 cent piece( but can't make out date)
1941 Dime(found Dec 7, 2001) Notice the date is exactly 60 yrs after the pearl harbor attack
1903 dime
1954 dime
Strange all four found in camps but only one actuaaly is from the time period, oh well I think I'll keep'em anyways.

Since around May 2004 have found about 35 silver coins--mostly in two locations---old swim hole and old amusement park. Two best are Barber halves.

In 2.5 years of detecting, I've managed 37 silver coins:
Barber Dimes-1
Mercs-14
Rosies-11
And 1 walking half, 10 buffalos, 6 silver washington's, and 4 war nickels. + 260 wheat pennies.
There's some good totals out there. Congrats all, this stuff is getting really hard to find.

I'm up to 179 silver coins, out of 284 "keeper" coins, total. (I don't count Wheat cents and non-silver Jeffersons as keepers).

Hm. Interesting question. Let's see.

i started back in sept, 1980, first month none, was learning how to detected, ,, then after the first month i started find about 5 to 7 every trip out, then went to 10 to 12 every trip out, best day out was 18 silver coins, i found more then i would count over the 25years hunting, never kept a log book on it, in a way i wished i did.

one half dollar 1942
two roosvelt dimes
one merc.dime 1917
one 5 bolivar coin 1926 = about the size of a silver dollar ( venezuela )

I have only been detecting for about 8 months but I have found

1 Mercury Dime
1 Roosevelt Dime
1 Washington Quarter

Finding silver beats clad anyday.
