Only the kitchen & dining room had working baseboards , the living room & guest bedroom baseboards froze . the upstairs bath room drain froze . We fixed the baseboards and got heat back - heat rises and it thawed out the upstairs bath room drain , the claw foot bathtub was full because of the coming blizzard & the stopper was not in place . Niagara Falls happened in the guest bedroom .

Sorry to hear and see, glad it's repaired!

That does suck, ive been there. At least your puffer fish was at home for a while.

OMG! :o :BangHead:

I had a bubbling spring in my front yard this morning. Due to 50 yr old, rusted, galvanized pipes though, nothing due to weather.
City came within 10 minutes, turned off the main at the street, I got pipes exposed, just waiting for plumber to show up, today, tomorrow, Saturday..... (he's gonna try to do side job, not go through company, I'll see how that works out for me, lol).
(I called about my Ga property..... idk if I even wanna know about up there...... :BangHead:)

Water jugs and buckets are full and on stand by...... :laughing7:

I sure hope ya'll got insurance...... and I'll wish ya'll good luck with all that. :notworthy:

That sucks! A LOT of that happening all over right now as the arctic air finally pushes out and above freezing temps finally return

Sorry for the water damage. Two days ago I places a 60 watt bulb by a possible problem area.So far so go.Temp reading on the water line w/a laser heat gun shows 55 degrees.

Thank you very much for the offer , but I know how to do it . you are very kind .

The Blizzard is here , the power went out at 4 pm , I walked the hay field where the poles are - didn't see any damage . Snow knee deep ..
I was getting ready to hard wire the generator into the electrical panel , and BOOM , the lights came on . The CMP trucks - restoring Power in white out conditions ! It could go out again . But at least it's on now .

Sorry for your experience with the burst pipes. That's allot of damage. People just don't realize how wrong things can go. All it takes is a low temperature and a prolonged power outage. It almost happened to me back in '09 when I had back to back snow storms hit, but thankfully the linemen got the power back up.

Sorry man, ive been there and is it no fun. 7 below 0 here now and wind is kicking up, but only a few inches of snow. Wind chills -30 or more thru sunday morning here. A high 0 for Friday and Saturday-----damn global warming

I hate to hear stuff like this. I keep my water running all night long, a hard drip, I guess that's the best thing to call it. Basement is heated, so pipes there are no problem. So far I've never had a pipe bust and I've been here 40 years and I hate the cold and the WIND. Especially the wind.

Just got done snow blowing 14". Was so windy I think the snow from blower went from Connecticut to Rhode island!

Hang in there Mojax. The storm is almost over...... next the lower temperatures...

never a good time man. glad you got it found and fixed.

We have not seen 20 degrees for 11 days now......below zero at night. Water dripping in two locations ever since!
